Abu dhabi: Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Defense, Interior and Foreign Affairs Committee of the Federal National Council (FNC), engaged in a virtual meeting with Bruno Fuchs, Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly of the French Republic, to explore ways to enhance parliamentary cooperation between the two sides.
According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting underscored the robust strategic partnership between the United Arab Emirates and the French Republic, highlighting its continuous growth across numerous sectors. Both parties emphasized the importance of joint cooperation in supporting international efforts aimed at achieving global security and stability.
Discussions during the meeting also focused on developing parliamentary relations and coordinating positions in international parliamentary forums. The role of parliamentary diplomacy in supporting national, regional, and international policies was a key point, particularly through engagement in meetings of parliamentary unions, institutions, and political and legal organizations.
Additionally, the participants reviewed regional developments and stressed the need for political solutions that foster security, stability, and prosperity. They also highlighted the importance of cooperation in providing humanitarian aid and relief to affected populations.
