Dubai: UAE artificial intelligence company G42 is set to launch its sovereign artificial intelligence (AI) cloud in France within the coming months, marking a significant step in its plan to expand globally and enhance international supercomputing capabilities.
According to Emirates News Agency, Talal Al Kaissi, Executive Vice President - Chief Partnerships Officer and Government Affairs at G42, stated that the France-based project is being executed under the 'AI Factories Antennas' initiative. This initiative aims to build AI supercomputers across several European countries.
Al Kaissi highlighted that Core42, a subsidiary of G42, has already deployed advanced infrastructure in the city of Grenoble in southern France to operate the AI cloud. This deployment is part of G42's broader strategy to establish a robust AI presence in Europe.
He also revealed that G42 and its subsidiaries are setting up advanced computing infrastructure in five locations across the United States, in addition to their projects in France, Africa, and Southeast Asia. Al Kaissi mentioned upcoming initiatives in Kazakhstan, Malaysia, and Indonesia in the coming months, which reflect the growing international demand for G42's AI and supercomputing solutions.
