Sharjah:Pink Caravan by Friends of Cancer Patients (FOCP) is recognizing the support of its sponsors and partners as its 'We've Got Plans' campaign continues throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October.
According to Wam, the campaign is raising awareness of breast health and encouraging people across the UAE to make regular screenings part of their plans for the future, through the collective efforts of its supporters.
At the heart of 'We've Got Plans' is the message that while people often make plans for their families, careers, and important milestones, looking after their health also deserves attention. By encouraging regular breast health screenings, Pink Caravan aims to remind communities about the importance of self-care in protecting the future they are planning for.
Throughout October, the campaign is urging people to prioritize their screenings and encourage their loved ones to do the same. By making breast health a visible part of everyday conversations, 'We've Got Plans' seeks to turn awareness into action, promoting early detection and informed health decisions.
Sharjah Volunteering Centre continues as the Volunteer Partner for the campaign, with volunteers enhancing the experience for visitors. The collaboration with organizations and volunteers highlights the importance of collective efforts in addressing a cause that impacts individuals and families throughout the community.
Aisha Al Mulla, Director of Friends of Cancer Patients, emphasized the importance of including health in future plans and expressed gratitude to sponsors, partners, and volunteers for their support during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Pink Caravan operates under the Friends of Cancer Patient's Kashf programme for early cancer detection, promoting breast health awareness and making screenings more accessible across the UAE.
