Dubai: H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, has reiterated the focus on enhancing the resilience of Dubai's economy as a strategic priority to ensure sustainable growth and align with global economic trends. This initiative is part of the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33, aiming to construct a diversified economy driven by innovation and strategic partnerships.
According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan emphasized the continuous development of a resilient economic system capable of adapting to global shifts through innovative policies and sectoral integration. This approach supports Dubai's economic competitiveness and strengthens its status as a global trade and investment hub. He highlighted the importance of partnerships between the public and private sectors to create an attractive business environment that offers significant growth opportunities.
This affirmation was made during Sheikh Hamdan's visit to the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), where he reviewed the department's plans to accelerate economic growth in the emirate. He directed officials to enhance Dubai's economic resilience and maintain growth momentum, emphasizing the role of collaboration with partners across sectors in establishing Dubai as a leading hub for trade, tourism, and investment.
Upon arrival at DET Headquarters, Sheikh Hamdan was received by Helal Saeed Almarri, Director General of DET, along with other senior officials. Almarri provided insights into ongoing and upcoming DET projects and initiatives designed to bolster the broader economy and specific sectors, including responses to recent developments in areas such as food security and hospitality.
Sheikh Hamdan's confidence in Dubai's potential for sustainable growth was reinforced by the success of the recent Dubai Majlis, where he engaged with nearly 300 senior leaders from the business community. He praised DET's commitment to achieving the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33, and enhancing Dubai's global stature in business, investment, and innovation.
Almarri remarked that guided by the leadership of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the directives of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan, Dubai continues to demonstrate economic resilience.
