Hamdan Bin Mohammed Meets With Chairman of Accor Group

Dubai: H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, met with S©bastien Bazin, Chairman and CEO of Accor Group, one of the world's leading hospitality and hotel management companies.

According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan reaffirmed Dubai's growing status as a premier tourist destination and a preferred market for global investment, attributing this to the emirate's forward-thinking vision, strategic planning, and partnerships with major international organizations in the tourism and hospitality sectors. He highlighted the significance of reinforcing public-private partnerships in Dubai to bolster global competitiveness and economic growth across various sectors.

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan also underscored Dubai's dedication to providing a stable and stimulating business environment that allows international companies to grow within a comprehensive ecosystem, supported by advanced infrastructure and flexible legislation that protects investors' interests. He expressed gratitude to the teams at Accor's properties in Dubai for their contributions to enhancing the visitor experience and strengthening the emirate's standing as a top global tourism hub.

Bazin expressed optimism about Dubai's market opportunities and the ongoing expansion of Accor's portfolio. He commended Dubai and the UAE for their ability to adapt to disruptions through effective contingency planning and institutional resilience.

The meeting was attended by Helal Saeed Almarri, Director-General of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism; Gaurav Bhushan, Global Chief Development Officer of Accor; and Duncan O'Rourke, CEO of Accor's Premium, Midscale and Economy division for the Middle East, Africa, Trkiye, and Asia-Pacific.
