Abu dhabi: H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region, has engaged with a delegation from the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA), led by Dr. Tariq Ahmed Al Ameri, Acting Director-General of the authority. During this meeting, which included the presence of Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Hazza received updates on ADAFSA’s strategic projects, focusing on local production support, food supply chain efficiency, and infrastructure development in agriculture and livestock sectors.
According to Emirates News Agency, Sheikh Hazza was also presented with ADAFSA’s plans to enhance food safety systems, inspection, and awareness programs related to food products. The presentation highlighted the authority’s role in promoting research and innovation in agricultural development, food production, and livestock protection, utilizing advanced technologies and international best practices.
Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan reiterated the leadership’s commitment, led by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, to progress in the agriculture, livestock, and food safety sectors. He emphasized their crucial role in fortifying the nation’s strategic food security framework.
His Highness stressed the significance of ongoing sector development through targeted initiatives and impactful projects, aimed at sustainability and productivity enhancement within a comprehensive framework.
