The head of the Arab Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Osama Mahdi Ghanem, received the Somali ambassador to Iraq, Liban Sheikh Mahmoud.

The head of the Arab department, according to the ministry’s statement, stressed the importance of the relations between the two brotherly countries and the need to develop them in all fields for the benefit of the Somali and Iraqi peoples, reiterating the Iraqi government’s support for the Somali embassy and its constant readiness to provide the necessary support and facilities for the success of its work.

For his part, the Somali ambassador appreciated the support of the Iraqi government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for his country, pointing to the depth of brotherly relations and joint cooperation and his country’s desire to strengthen them in various fields.
