Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Inaugurates 17th Edition of Abu Dhabi Art

Abu dhabi: H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, has inaugurated the 17th edition of Abu Dhabi Art at Manarat Al Saadiyat, with the event running until 23 November 2025. Organised by the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), this year's event features 142 galleries from 34 countries, with 53 making their debut appearance.

According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikh Khaled emphasized the significance of the exhibition in advancing Abu Dhabi's cultural vision by highlighting creative talent and fostering global cultural dialogue. The exhibition serves as a platform for both local and international artists to present their work and engage with an extensive audience, promoting cultural activity and reinforcing Abu Dhabi's position as a global hub for the arts.

Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of DCT Abu Dhabi, remarked on the event's role in establishing Abu Dhabi's influence as a global cultural capital. He noted that the annual fair enhances the creative economy and shapes a future where art and culture drive progress and innovation.

The inauguration was attended by several prominent figures including Dr Anwar Mohammed Gargash, Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh, Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al Owais, Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Mohammed Ahmed Al Murr, Saif Saeed Ghobash, and Saood Abdulaziz Al Hosani. The presence of these dignitaries underscores the strategic importance of the event in Abu Dhabi's cultural agenda.

The increased participation in this edition highlights the impact of Abu Dhabi's strategic investments in the cultural sector, aligning with DCT Abu Dhabi's vision to elevate the emirate's status as a leading destination for arts and culture.
