Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship 7th Round Scheduled in Fujairah

Fujairah: The seventh round of the Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship is set to take place at the Zayed Sports Complex in Fujairah from 27-28 September 2025. This round, dedicated to No Gi competitions, will feature athletes from prominent clubs and academies across the UAE.

According to Emirates News Agency, the event is organized by the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation and marks a decisive moment in the championship as it will crown the No Gi champion. A competitive battle is anticipated between Sharjah Self-Defence Sports Club, Al Ain Jiu-Jitsu Club, and M.O.D, which have consistently held the top three positions. The first day will focus on the under-12, under-14, and under-16 divisions, while the second day will highlight the under-18, adult, and master competitions.

Youssef Abdullah Al Batran, a Board Member of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, highlighted the championship's importance beyond the competition itself, noting its role as a platform for talent development across all age groups. He emphasized the unique challenges of No Gi contests, which require competitors to rely on strategy and adaptability. Al Batran noted that teams with strong defensive systems have excelled in previous rounds.

The current round will conclude the No Gi segment of the championship, with the official crowning of both Gi and No Gi champions scheduled to occur in Abu Dhabi during the final round in mid-October. The Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship is recognized as a leading sporting event in the nation, promoting discipline, respect, and teamwork while engaging the community.
