Latifa Bint Mohammed Engages with Youth Initiatives at Asia Pacific Cities Summit

Dubai: H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), visited the 'Youth Retreat' and the 'Young Professionals' Forum' held on the sidelines of the Asia Pacific Cities Summit and Mayors' Forum 2025 in Expo City Dubai. During her visit, H.H. Sheikha Latifa engaged with participating youths, reviewing their work plans and the early outcomes of their discussions.

According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikha Latifa listened to presentations delivered by youth teams proposing practical recommendations aimed at improving the quality of life in cities. She examined early prototypes being developed in collaboration with sector leaders and partnering government entities, showcasing innovative approaches to urban challenges.

Organised by the Dubai Youth Council, the 'Youth Retreat' is held under the patronage of the General Secretariat of The Executive Council of Dubai and Expo City Dubai. It brings together relevant government entities across six key themes: Economy, Transportation, Digital Dubai, Security, Sustainability, and Community Development. The initiative empowers youth to design and propose innovative solutions for future urban challenges.

The Young Professionals' Forum, also taking place alongside the Summit, includes youth representatives from various Asia-Pacific countries. The Forum aims to enhance knowledge exchange and enable young talents to contribute to shaping the future of cities and advancing their global competitiveness.

In total, 120 young men and women from Dubai, the wider region, and around the world are participating in the youth-focused programmes that run parallel to the Summit. Their contributions aim to advance Dubai's ambitions and strengthen its global leadership in adopting innovative solutions and empowering youth in decision-making processes.
