Latifa bint Mohammed Highlights Dubai’s Role in Global Tech Innovation at GITEX Global 2025

Dubai: H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), visited GITEX Global 2025, the world's largest technology and artificial intelligence exhibition, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre. During her visit, she was briefed on various technological innovations and digital solutions showcased by exhibitors from around 180 countries.

According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed praised the extensive efforts behind organizing the event, now in its 45th edition. She emphasized that GITEX Global has solidified its standing as a key platform for connecting pioneers and leading institutions from the global tech industry, fostering opportunities for innovation and enhancing human well-being and progress. She remarked that the event reflects the leadership's commitment to leveraging technology as a catalyst for sustainable growth and prosperity and highlights Dubai's pivotal role in building partnerships and fostering collaboration among the world's leading technology innovators and developers.

H.H. Sheikha Latifa further noted that technology's integration into daily life and cultural development has created new tools of expression and ways for people to engage with art and knowledge. She highlighted the importance of integrating modern technologies into the cultural sector to reshape creativity, making it more inclusive and impactful, and enabling a broader reach. She stressed that investing in technology equates to investing in the future of creativity, building bridges that connect creators with audiences and link local cultures with global ones.

During her tour, Sheikha Latifa visited several national and international pavilions at GITEX Global, which features more than 6,800 technology companies and 2,000 startups globally. She was accompanied by Maryam bint Ahmed Al Hammadi, Minister of State and Secretary-General of the UAE Cabinet; Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid, Director-General of the Community Development Authority in Dubai; and Aisha Miran, Director-General of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai.

She visited the UAE Cybersecurity Council's pavilion, where she was briefed on initiatives supporting the UAE's digital transformation and cyberspace protection. She also explored the EDGE Group pavilion, reviewing innovations in cybersecurity and defense technologies. Additionally, she visited international companies specializing in cybersecurity and digital asset protection, such as CrowdStrike and Recorded Future, underscoring the importance of securing the digital ecosystem as a vital enabler of modern life and a foundation for critical sectors.
