Maktoum Bin Mohammed Reviews Ministry of Finance’s Digital Initiatives at GITEX GLOBAL 2025

Dubai: H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Finance of the UAE, visited the Ministry of Finance's platform at the Federal Government Pavilion during GITEX GLOBAL 2025, the world's largest exhibition for technology and artificial intelligence (AI), which concluded today at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

According to Emirates News Agency, the Ministry's platform showcased its latest digital projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing smart transformation in government financial management and accelerating innovation in public financial services. During the visit, H.H. Sheikh Maktoum, accompanied by Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, UAE Minister of State for Financial Affairs, was briefed on ten innovative digital initiatives developed by the Ministry. These initiatives utilize AI and data analysis to improve financial efficiency, enhance user experience, and promote integration among government entities within a unified financial ecosystem.

H.H. Sheikh Maktoum emphasized the UAE's commitment to building a progressive government model rooted in innovation and digital transformation, highlighting efficiency and transparency as key pillars. He noted that financial digital transformation is central to this vision, enabling government readiness and effective management of public resources.

The Ministry of Finance introduced a new interactive experience to enhance awareness of the government procurement system, furthering its commitment to developing government capabilities and transforming knowledge into an interactive experience. The Digital Procurement Platform exemplifies this commitment, acting as a strategic meeting point for government entities and suppliers to enhance collaboration and efficiency.

The Ministry also showcased the Federal Property Platform, designed to manage government-owned assets, and 'Rashid - AI Financial Advisor for Youth', an app aimed at enhancing financial literacy among individuals aged 18 to 30. Other initiatives include 'Mona - AI Advisor for Financial Data' and the 'MoF AI Companion', which improve data accessibility and user interaction.

Additionally, the Ministry launched the Procurement Gamification Challenge, a digital game simulating the government procurement process, and a Catalogue of Services platform powered by AI to streamline access to government services.

The Ministry's initiatives aim to build an integrated financial ecosystem supported by digital analytics and interaction technologies. They underscore the federal government's readiness to address future changes with intelligent systems that support decision-making and data analysis.

The 45th edition of GITEX GLOBAL featured over 1,400 speakers, 6,800 technology companies, and 2,000 startups from 180 countries, focusing on AI infrastructure solutions and fostering international policy dialogue for responsible AI economy development. The event served as a global platform for cooperation and knowledge exchange, promoting innovation and economic growth towards a sustainable digital future.
