Mandalawi congratulates the Iraqi people for approving the budget

First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi congratulated the Iraqi people for approving the Federal General Budget Law for the fiscal years (2023, 2024, 2025), appreciating the great efforts of the Parliamentary Finance Committee in maturing the paragraphs of the law and including the rights of citizens.

In a statement, Al-Mandalawi praised the parliamentarians’ keenness to pass the budget, as it is the most important among the previous budgets, being for three fiscal years and linked to the government program and meeting the aspirations of the people.

He stressed that the legislative and executive authorities were keen to resolve the file of lecturers and administrators, appoint the contracts, and the rest of the categories, and the differences of the heroes of the popular crowd, and guarantee the pension rights of deceased contractors who were not appointed due to their reaching the legal age, and accommodate large segments of society by creating job grades to appoint graduates in Governorates and include adequate financial allocations for them.

He said: The current budget focused on reducing spending and increasing non-oil revenues to maximize state revenues, as well as supporting farmers who use modern irrigation systems, implementing service and strategic projects, and establishing a reconstruction fund for the poorest governorates, with the aim of achieving balance in development and improving its reality, in addition to granting adequate allocations to provide the requirements of the Ministry of Electricity and the ration card, to secure the necessary sums for the continuation of the work of the oil companies, to carry out the necessary transfers, and to support the publication of scientific research within the international levels.
