Mansoor bin Mohammed Highlights Dubai’s Role in Global Digital Transformation at GITEX Global

Dubai: H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the UAE National Olympic Committee, visited GITEX Global 2025, the world's largest technology and artificial intelligence event, currently underway at the Dubai World Trade Centre until 17th October.

According to Emirates News Agency, Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed toured numerous national and international pavilions, which showcased advancements in AI, cloud computing, robotics, big data, and smart mobility. During his visit, he reviewed projects that align with Dubai's vision for a future driven by innovation. Sheikh Mansoor emphasized that GITEX Global reflects the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for a digital future rooted in innovation and collaboration. He noted that the event highlights Dubai's essential role in fostering international partnerships and empowering startups to pursue new growth potentials.

Additionally, Sheikh Mansoor remarked that the participation of global technology leaders at GITEX signifies increasing international trust in Dubai as a hub for innovation and digital transformation. The event, he added, reaffirms Dubai's leadership in global digital development and supports the goals set by the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.

During his visit, His Highness was accompanied by prominent officials including Helal Saeed Almarri, Director-General of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism; Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director-General of the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai; and Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Director-General of Digital Dubai. At the event, Sheikh Mansoor explored pavilions of government entities and private companies, such as the e and pavilion, which featured innovations for the UAE's knowledge economy, and the K2 stand, which displayed autonomous taxis and delivery vehicles. The Saudi Telecom Company (STC) also showcased its initiatives for next-generation communications and digital infrastructure.

At the Dubai Police stand, Sheikh Mansoor witnessed the unveiling of 12 new AI-driven innovations, including platforms and robotics designed to enhance security and community services. He also visited the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) stand, which presented initiatives in AI, IoT, and predictive technologies. At the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) stand, he was informed about the Authority's digital services and Digital DEWA's latest technological solutions.

Furthermore, Sheikh Mansoor toured the Dubai Civil Defence stand, which highlighted smart technologies for emergency response and public safety, and the UAE Space Agency stand, showcasing significant projects and interactive experiences.

Now in its 45th edition, GITEX Global unites over 6,800 technology companies and 2,000 startups from 180 countries, reinforcing Dubai's status as a global innovation hub. Organised by the Dubai World Trade Centre, the event is themed 'The Future of AI: Shaping Tomorrow's Economy', offering groundbreaking solutions in emerging technologies and policies that promote responsible innovation across vital economic sectors.
