Mansoor Bin Mohammed Highlights Key Developments at Dubai Civil Defence

Dubai: H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Border Security Council, visited the General Command of Dubai Civil Defence, emphasizing its crucial role in safeguarding lives and property. Upon his arrival, Sheikh Mansoor was welcomed by Lieutenant General Expert Rashid Thani Al Matrooshi, Director-General of Dubai Civil Defence, alongside senior officers and department heads.

According to Emirates News Agency, Sheikh Mansoor underscored the importance of the Dubai Civil Defence system in enhancing community security. He highlighted that the ongoing advancements in systems and technologies demonstrate Dubai's commitment to maintaining high readiness and swift response levels. During the visit, Sheikh Mansoor was briefed on the firefighting and control systems, the modern fleet of vehicles, and specialized equipment that contribute to improved efficiency and response times.

The visit also included a review of marine units dedicated to securing vital coastal projects and AI-supported robotic systems utilized in firefighting operations. Sheikh Mansoor remarked on Dubai's advanced infrastructure and comprehensive safety system, noting that the integration of modern equipment, specialized vehicles, and AI applications into field operations enhances operational efficiency and emergency response effectiveness.

Sheikh Mansoor further emphasized the significance of the training and qualification system, including the Kafa'ah technical assessment program, as a core component of the emirate's preparedness. He affirmed Dubai's ongoing commitment, under its leadership's guidance, to bolster the security and safety system with cutting-edge technologies, ensuring a stable and secure environment for residents and visitors.

During his visit, Sheikh Mansoor also examined the training and qualification framework, which incorporates foundational and specialized courses, the Kafa'ah technical assessment system, and advanced training in robotics and drone technologies. This framework ensures personnel and equipment readiness in line with international best practices.

The General Command of Dubai Civil Defence continues to enhance the safety and emergency response system in the emirate, following a strategy focused on achieving global leadership. The General Command is developing specialized programs that merge modern technologies with field operations, supporting the readiness and professionalism of Civil Defence teams in protecting lives and property and reinforcing Dubai's status as one of the world's safest cities.
