Abu dhabi: Under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, inaugurated the 41st edition of ADIPEC, the world's largest energy event, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). The event, scheduled from 3rd to 6th November, underscores the UAE's pivotal role in the global energy landscape.
According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan emphasized that hosting ADIPEC showcases the UAE's global stature in leading the international dialogue on the future of energy. The event aims to strengthen collective efforts toward energy security and sustainability. He highlighted President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's vision of balancing economic development with environmental protection through investments in advanced technology and clean energy.
H.H. Sheikh Mansour also noted that ADIPEC serves as a global platform for experts to exchange knowledge and develop innovative solutions. The UAE continues to support a balanced energy transition through international partnerships promoting economic growth and expanding cooperation in research and development.
ADIPEC 2025 features more than 2,250 exhibiting entities from leading global companies in energy, industry, and technology across 17 main exhibition halls. It includes four specialized zones focused on artificial intelligence, digital transformation, decarbonization, and maritime logistics, along with a new exhibition dedicated to chemicals and low-carbon solutions.
The theme for this year's exhibition, 'Energy. Intelligence. Impact', highlights Abu Dhabi's role in facilitating discussions on the future of energy. The event includes 30 national pavilions, showcasing investment opportunities in emerging markets in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Managing Director and Group CEO of ADNOC, delivered the keynote address. He urged energy industry leaders, policymakers, and investors to adopt pragmatic policies and bold partnerships to boost job creation, socioeconomic growth, and global competitiveness.
Dr. Al Jaber highlighted ADNOC's achievements, emphasizing the UAE's pragmatic approach that enhances technology to enable progress. He detailed ADNOC's use of AI and robotics to improve performance and efficiency, citing the flagship program, Energy to the Power of AI, which aims to make production forecasts more accurate.
He stressed the need for policies to be pragmatic and based on insight rather than ideology, warning against regulation without realism. Dr. Al Jaber also identified the major demand drivers through 2040, emphasizing the need for increased renewable energy, LNG, and oil.
Dr. Al Jaber concluded by celebrating UAE Flag Day, which coincides with the opening day of ADIPEC, emphasizing unity and connection as the nation honors its flag. He reiterated the importance of collective effort and resilience in driving progress.
