Abu dhabi: His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court, and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, has launched the ‘Al Khail Square’ project. This initiative marks a comprehensive development at the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, aimed at elevating the equestrian sector by integrating Abu Dhabi’s rich heritage with a modern urban framework.
According to Emirates News Agency, the project is part of Abu Dhabi’s vision to enhance quality of life and support the Emirate’s future plans for integrated communities. His Highness Sheikh Mansour reviewed the new urban plan and received a detailed briefing on the project’s components from Mohammed Abdullah Al Junaibi, Chairman of the Federal Protocol and Strategic Narrative Authority and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club. The development will feature advanced equestrian facilities, upscale residential units, modern healthcare facilities, various commercial spaces, and a new world-class members’ club.
Sheikh Mansour also received insights on the technical aspects and implementation timeline from Ali Al Shaiba, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club and Abu Dhabi Turf Club, along with other project supervisors. He stated that the ‘Al Khail Square’ project underscores the significance of equestrian sports in Abu Dhabi and the continuous support it receives. The development aims to merge authenticity with modernity, reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s position as a global hub for horse racing and equestrian sports.
The initiative is seen as a crucial addition to Abu Dhabi’s development landscape, contributing to urban, sporting, and cultural infrastructure. Sheikh Mansour stressed the need for adherence to the approved schedule, ensuring timely completion to the highest standards. Al Shaiba noted that the project will redefine the club’s architectural identity, combining historical legacy with a contemporary model for premium living and hospitality.
‘The Al Khail Square’ continues the legacy of the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in 1976. The club has been a major platform for sporting and cultural events in the emirate. The development embraces an integrated urban vision focused on sustainability and quality of life, with features like pedestrian pathways, open green spaces, and architecture that maximizes natural light and air quality. It also includes advanced infrastructure and modern cooling systems to ensure year-round comfort for residents and visitors.
With its strategic location, ‘Al Khail Square’ is poised to become one of Abu Dhabi’s most prominent real estate destinations, acting as a new development driver that bolsters the Emirate’s status as a city combining equestrian tradition with a modern lifestyle.
