Fujairah: H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, attended the graduation ceremony of 244 students from the University of Fujairah - Class of the Year of Community, held at the Fujairah Creative Centre Theatre. The ceremony also saw the presence of key figures, including Saeed Mohammed Al Raqbani, Deputy Chair of the University's Board of Trustees.
According to Emirates News Agency, the Crown Prince highlighted the essential role of educational institutions in equipping individuals with necessary knowledge and skills, thereby aiding in the development of the emirate. He emphasized the ongoing support and oversight by H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, in enhancing the educational system to align with the UAE's higher education strategy and competitiveness standards.
H.H. Sheikh Mohammed extended his congratulations to the graduates from various academic disciplines, urging them to persist in their educational pursuits and contribute meaningfully to the nation's progress.
During the ceremony, Dr. Sulaiman Al Jassim, Director of the University of Fujairah, shared the university's vision for the future, which includes the introduction of new academic programs in fields such as artificial intelligence, renewable energy, and health sciences. He also mentioned efforts to attract international students, expand partnerships with both public and private sectors, and invest in scientific research and innovation. The university aims to promote entrepreneurship among students and enhance educational experiences through student and academic exchange programs with global institutions.
The event was attended by Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, Director of the Crown Prince of Fujairah's Office, members of the Board of Trustees, faculty members, and the graduates' families.
