Dubai: H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum today visited the Emirates NBD headquarters at Dubai CommerCity. Hesham Abdulla Al Qassim, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Emirates NBD Group, and Shayne Nelson, Group Chief Executive Officer, received H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid upon his arrival.
According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid met with members of the Emirates NBD Group Executive Committee and received briefings on the Group's strategy, business lines, international operations, and the services of Emirates Islamic, the Shariah-compliant banking arm. He was also updated on the Group's people strategy.
During the visit, he was briefed on the scale of the Group's operations, which are supported by over 30,000 employees from 90 nationalities. This diverse talent base enables the Group to offer innovative, integrated financial solutions across various markets.
H.H. Sheikh Mohammed also met with members of the Emirates NBD Group Youth Council, which underscores the leadership's commitment to empowering the youth and equipping them with tools and opportunities for innovation and creativity. He was informed about the Council's objectives and its vision for supporting Dubai and the UAE's status as a leading global financial center.
H.H. Sheikh Mohammed expressed appreciation for the Emirates NBD Group's services, commending its strong legacy and enduring impact on the region's financial landscape since the 1960s. Today, the Group is a leading banking institution in the Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey (MENAT), recognized for its role in driving innovation in financial services and supporting economic development.
