Abu dhabi: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, convened with his teams and several senior officials during the annual 'New Government Season Meeting 2026-2027.' The session aimed to review government work priorities and outline key directions and projects for the upcoming phase.
According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting was held in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence; and H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai. Sheikh Mohammed commended the efforts of his team and acknowledged the achievements made in the past period, emphasizing that these efforts have enhanced government efficiency and expedited the delivery of national priorities.
His Highness directed government teams to intensify their efforts for the new government season, with a focus on accelerating project delivery, enhancing integration between entities, and developing efficient and forward-looking work models. He highlighted the importance of achieving tangible impacts for the community.
Sheikh Mohammed stated, "With the start of every government season, I begin my work by meeting my team. We set out on a new season, carrying renewed energy, strong resolve, and ambitions that match our country." He reiterated his vision for the UAE government to be the best in the world.
The meeting also reflected on the achievements of the previous government season and discussed future priorities, initiatives, and projects in the developmental, social, and economic sectors. Plans to expedite delivery and enhance the readiness of government entities to adapt to change were also part of the discussions.
Further discussions involved developing the federal government work system, improving coordination across entities, and investing in national talent and emerging technologies, all aimed at boosting the UAE's competitiveness and leadership in government work. The meeting was also attended by Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, along with other ministers and senior officials.
