Abu dhabi: The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has unveiled plans to host a series of celebratory activities for workers during Eid Al Adha in 30 locations throughout the UAE. The initiative, themed “Our Workers’ Happiness, the Joy of Our Eid,” aims to include workers in the festive spirit.
According to Emirates News Agency, MoHRE has extended invitations to private sector companies and labour accommodations interested in participating to register via its website. Participants can choose activities based on location and timing preferences.
The celebratory events are being organised in collaboration with various entities, including the Ministry of Interior, Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security, and the General Headquarters of Police departments across the UAE. Other partners include municipalities nationwide, AD Ports Group, and the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai.
Further support comes from the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority, General Command of Dubai Civil Defence, Permanent Committee for Labour Affairs in Dubai, Dubai Event Security Committee, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), Department of Municipal Affairs in Sharjah, National Ambulance, Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ), and Burjeel Holdings.
Mohsin Al Nassi, Assistant Undersecretary for Inspection and Compliance at MoHRE, emphasized the ministry’s ongoing strategy to enhance communication with workers and involve them in national celebrations to foster social inclusion. “Workers are a key component of the labour market and a fundamental pillar in the UAE’s journey of development and leadership,” he noted.
Dalal Alshehhi, MoHRE’s Assistant Undersecretary for Labour Protection, reiterated the ministry’s dedication to celebrating workers on all occasions, highlighting the positive impact on workers’ happiness, wellbeing, and confidence.
In addition to the ministry’s initiatives, several private companies, including Sobha Construction, Granada Europe Construction, Millionaire Building Contracting, Advanced Metal Works, Luxury Homes Real Estate, Al Mehwar Engineering Consultancy, DULSCO Group, and Innovo Build LLC, are also organising parallel activities. The Labour Accommodation Authority in Abu Dhabi is participating through eight of its facilities.
