Abu dhabi: The Murona Forum 2026, organised by the Emergencies, Crises and Disasters Management Centre Abu Dhabi (ADCMC), will commence tomorrow at Erth Hotel. The two-day event aims to gather government entities and companies from Abu Dhabi, along with local and international leaders, specialists, and experts, to discuss and enhance institutional resilience and emergency preparedness.
According to Emirates News Agency, the forum is part of ADCMC's initiatives to fortify Abu Dhabi's readiness by sharing leading practices at both local and global levels. The first day will witness the announcement that ADCMC will host the Understanding Risk Global Forum 2026 (UR26) and will also celebrate the graduation of the fourth and fifth cohorts of the Alternative Service Programme. Additionally, several organisations will be acknowledged for meeting the National Standard for Business Continuity criteria.
The forum's agenda includes panel discussions and presentations that will focus on best practices in recovery and approaches to restoring essential services after disruptions. International speakers will share innovative perspectives on global crisis management trends, developments in business continuity, and future risk preparation strategies. These discussions aim to foster partnerships that encourage the exchange of knowledge and expertise between Abu Dhabi and leading global organisations.
Matar Saeed Al Nuaimi, Director-General of ADCMC, stated that the forum reflects the Abu Dhabi Government's dedication to enhancing the emergency, crisis, and disaster management ecosystem following international standards. He emphasized that the event serves as a strategic platform for exchanging knowledge and exploring methods to strengthen institutional preparedness across vital sectors.
