Abu dhabi: North Macedonia is making its inaugural appearance at the Global Food Week at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi, aiming to introduce the UAE market to the traditional flavours of Balkan cuisine. This participation seeks to attract consumers interested in authentic and high-quality products.
According to Emirates News Agency, Krcte Gjorgiev, CEO of Best Food - Gjorgiev Dairy, highlighted that North Macedonia has a well-established tradition of producing authentic foods, each with its distinct flavour. Gjorgiev emphasized the role of the country's abundant sunshine in enhancing the quality of its food products.
Gjorgiev further stated that the objective of their participation is to draw the attention of local distributors and importers in the UAE, facilitating the introduction of authentic Balkan flavours to the market. The focus is on offering Emirati consumers a unique culinary experience with products like mixed cow and sheep milk cheese.
Within the North Macedonian pavilion, Altera Food is showcasing a variety of vegetables and fruits, cultivated in regions receiving about 300 sunny days annually. This highlights the traditional taste profile of the country. The company's product range includes appetizers, pickled vegetables, and low-sugar fruit jams.
