Ras Al Khaimah: The Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry engaged in discussions with the Consulate of the People's Republic of Bangladesh in the UAE to explore areas of economic and commercial cooperation between the emirate and Bangladesh. The aim was to establish bilateral partnerships that would enhance relations and create new investment opportunities.
According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting took place at the Chamber's headquarters and involved Mohamed Ali Musabbeh Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Md. Rashedujjaman, Consul-General of Bangladesh in Dubai and the Northern Emirates. Al Nuaimi emphasized the Chamber's commitment to supporting Bangladeshi companies and investors, facilitating their business growth and sustainable success.
Al Nuaimi highlighted the potential of economic relations between Ras Al Khaimah and Bangladesh, noting the significant development in their ties, as shown by recent data. He also confirmed the Chamber's readiness to enhance mutual cooperation to develop bilateral relations, address challenges, and promote trade and investment, particularly in sectors such as renewable energy and industry.
The meeting covered the need to increase cooperation to benefit both parties, strengthen business relationships, and encourage more joint meetings and visits. The Consul-General proposed establishing a Bangladesh Business Council in Ras Al Khaimah, similar to councils in other Emirates.
Both parties acknowledged the importance of organizing workshops for the Bangladeshi community in Ras Al Khaimah and setting a framework for attracting Bangladeshi investors and businesspeople to the emirate.
