Dubai: Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to coordinate joint initiatives between the UAE's industrial ecosystem and Dubai's transport and infrastructure ecosystem. The collaboration aims to support the Make it in the Emirates initiative, focusing on electric mobility and autonomous transport, while creating investment opportunities through the National In-Country Value (ICV) Programme.
According to Emirates News Agency, the MoU facilitates technological advancements by providing RTA access to the Ministry's training programmes in artificial intelligence and advanced technologies. This initiative aligns with RTA's goals to develop the transport and logistics sector and prepare its workforce for future solutions. The MoU was signed during GITEX Global 2025 by Osama Amir Fadhel from MoIAT and Mohammed Al Mudharreb from RTA.

The partnership will also highlight the Ministry's programmes, particularly the Make it in the Emirates initiative. Mohammed Al Mudharreb highlighted the partnership's role in enhancing operational efficiency and supporting national industries. The MoU underlines RTA's mission to achieve seamless and sustainable mobility while contributing to a knowledge-based economy and empowering Emirati talent.
The agreement includes developing incentive packages for stakeholders to operate more efficiently and promoting local content through the National ICV Programme.
