Sharjah: The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) recently hosted a high-level Vietnamese trade delegation to explore avenues for strengthening cooperation in investment, industry, trade, and entrepreneurship. This meeting is part of ongoing efforts to bolster the economic relationship between the UAE and Vietnam.
According to Emirates News Agency, the discussions highlighted the importance of collaboration among promising start-ups, facilitating cross-border investments, and leveraging opportunities provided by the UAE-Vietnam Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). The talks also focused on the exchange of knowledge to support technology-driven SMEs, enabling Vietnamese companies to utilize Sharjah's advanced infrastructure as a gateway to regional markets in the Middle East and North Africa.
The meeting featured Abdul Aziz Al Shamsi, Assistant Director General for Communication and Business Sector at SCCI, and was led by Truong Xuan Trung, Head of the Trade Office at the Embassy of Vietnam in the UAE. Entrepreneurs and private-sector representatives from both nations participated in the discussions.
Al Shamsi welcomed the Vietnamese delegation, emphasizing that CEPA offers a solid foundation for expanding private-sector collaboration and discovering new partnership opportunities. He encouraged Vietnamese businesses to consider Sharjah as a strategic hub, assuring them of the Chamber's support through matchmaking services, market data, and investment facilitation.
The visit concluded with bilateral B2B meetings, where businesses from both sides explored potential commercial deals and avenues for ongoing cooperation.
