Sharjah: The Sharjah Foundation to Support Pioneering Entrepreneurs (RUWAD), part of the Sharjah Economic Development Department, has announced the return of its annual RUWAD Festival for its second edition. Scheduled to take place from January 7th to January 11th, the festival will be held in the outdoor garden of the House of Wisdom in Sharjah and will feature the theme "Mada."
According to Emirates News Agency, the festival will commence with an opening ceremony next Wednesday at 5:00 PM. The event will be attended by prominent figures including Hamad Ali Abdullah Al Mahmoud, the Chairman of the Department of Economic Development, and Fatima Al Ali, the Acting Director of RUWAD. The festival will also see participation from various government officials and members of the entrepreneurial community.
Fatima Al Ali emphasized that the festival aims to bolster local businesses by offering them free, high-quality spaces to showcase their products and services, with a particular focus on sectors such as food, fashion, and retail. The event will feature 30 commercial projects operated by licensed entrepreneurs, alongside 10 innovative food projects.
All necessary preparations for the festival have been finalized to ensure a smooth and successful experience for participants and attendees. The festival will be open daily from 17:00 to 23:00, providing a platform for entrepreneurs to engage with the community and promote their ventures.
