Sharjah Finance Department Unveils ‘PayFlex’ for Interest-Free Instalments

Sharjah: The Sharjah Finance Department (SFD) has introduced the 'PayFlex' system at GITEX Global 2025, enabling customers to pay government service fees through interest-free instalments. This initiative is part of SFD's commitment to advancing digital payment solutions and furthering Sharjah's digital transformation strategy by incorporating innovation into financial services. According to Emirates News Agency, Huda Al Yasi, Director of the Financial System Department at SFD, highlighted that the launch of PayFlex is aligned with the Department's strategic vision of promoting smart financial transformation and providing user-centred payment systems. This move is set to enhance convenience and improve the quality of life, while supporting the emirate's goal of achieving financial inclusion through secure and innovative payment methods. Al Yasi explained that the Sharjah Finance Department is focused on developing modern, flexible, and secure payment solutions to simplify the process of paying government se rvice fees. This initiative aligns with the Sharjah Government's vision of fostering a sustainable digital economy driven by innovation, efficiency, and collaboration between the public and private sectors. The PayFlex system offers customers the flexibility to pay their government service fees electronically or over the counter through monthly instalments, with a duration of up to six months. Instant approval is provided via the Tahseel platform, and the service is completely interest-free, aiming to alleviate financial burdens for both individuals and organisations. By offering these flexible and secure payment options, PayFlex marks a significant step toward enhancing economic efficiency, reducing payment pressures, and improving the overall customer experience in government services across the Emirate of Sharjah.
