Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Reviews Agricultural Initiatives in Al Ain

Abu Dhabi:Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Undersecretary of the Ruler's Representative Court in the Al Ain Region, recently received a delegation from the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) led by Dr. Tariq Ahmed Al Ameri, Acting Director-General of ADAFSA.

According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting focused on updates regarding the Agricultural Transformation Strategy and ongoing capital projects in the Al Ain Region. Sheikh Mohammed was informed about initiatives designed to support local production, empower farmers and farm owners, and promote the use of modern agricultural practices and advanced technologies in line with Abu Dhabi's agricultural and food security goals.

Additionally, the progress of ADAFSA's capital projects was reviewed, including plans to enhance infrastructure and assets supporting agriculture and livestock sectors. The discussions explored ways to improve resource efficiency and ensure alignment between capital projects and the strategy’s objectives, with an emphasis on using innovative solutions to boost the agricultural production ecosystem.

Sheikh Mohammed highlighted the alignment of the agricultural sector's development with leadership's vision to support local production and utilize modern technologies. He emphasized the sector's role as a vital contributor to sustainable development and improved quality of life in the region.

He also stressed the need for agricultural projects and initiatives to have a direct impact on farmers and farm owners by providing an environment that enhances productivity and allows them to capitalize on opportunities within the agricultural and food sectors.
