Somali Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre discussed today with UN Secretary General’s new Special Representative for Somalia Catriona Laing a number of issues, including cooperation between the two sides.

During the meeting, Barre praised the role and efforts of the United Nations in humanitarian and political fields.

For her part, the new UN Special Representative for Somalia praised the progress achieved by the federal government in different fields, stressing that the UN will enhance collaboration in security, political, economic and developmental fields.
