Sharjah: H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, attended the signing ceremony of strategic partnership agreements by Sharjah Media City (SHAMS) with 14 authorities and institutions in the Emirate of Sharjah. These partnerships aim to enhance the film and creative content industry while building a robust media production ecosystem.
According to Emirates News Agency, the agreements were signed at the headquarters of Sharjah Media City. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed praised the collaboration between the entities, underscoring its crucial role in advancing the media sector. He emphasized that this integration supports unifying the media message and aligns with Sharjah's comprehensive media vision by enhancing professionalism and adapting to evolving media needs.
The entities involved in the agreements include Sharjah Police, the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security, Sharjah International Airport Authority, and several other key institutions. These partnerships are expected to bolster the SHAMS Studios project, which is among the region's significant future media initiatives targeting a transformative shift in Sharjah's media infrastructure.
The SHAMS Studios project is integral to Sharjah Media City's strategy to provide comprehensive facilities for filmmakers and creatives. It aims to offer infrastructure that allows ideas to be developed into high-quality visual projects and creative content meeting international standards. The initiative includes five major studios and specialized post-production facilities.
During the event, attendees viewed a presentation detailing the SHAMS Studios project's foundations and its advanced production ecosystem. The project is designed to attract leading regional and international production companies, establishing Sharjah as a regional hub for creative content production at the highest global standards.
