Abu dhabi: The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security has introduced "The Authority at Your Service" during its involvement in GITEX Global 2025.
According to Emirates News Agency, the first phase of the initiative offers an easy payment plan for customers with credit cards from 10 local banks across the UAE, allowing them to pay service fees of the authority in instalments.
Payments can be made with flexible instalments as per each bank's terms and conditions, maintaining a zero percent profit rate. Customers qualify for the plan when their total service fee is AED500 or more, with repayment periods ranging from three to 12 months, based on their preference and the agreement between the Authority and the bank.
Credit card holders can apply for the payment plan by contacting their bank's call centre, using digital service channels, or through direct instalment options available for Visa cardholders. The initiative involves 10 local banks and financial institutions, along with Visa International. Participating banks include First Abu Dhabi Bank, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Emirates Islamic Bank, Emirates NBD, Commercial Bank of Dubai, Sharjah Islamic Bank, Mashreq Bank, RAKBANK, and Commercial International Bank.
Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, Director-General of the Authority, stated that the initiative is part of the authority's strategy to adopt innovative financial solutions that align with technological advancements, aiming to achieve high standards of efficiency and transparency. The initiative is designed to assist customers in managing their financial commitments, supporting the objectives of the Year of Community 2025 by providing payment solutions that alleviate financial burdens and enhance quality of life.
Al Khaili emphasized that the initiative supports the Authority's strategic objectives, strengthens its commitment to customer-centric services, and contributes to a more seamless and positive customer experience across all service channels.
Major General Ahmed Mayouf Al Amri, Acting Director-General of Support Services at the Authority, highlighted that the authority will offer customers the option to pay service fees in instalments, aligning with their financial commitments. This move is in line with the authority's vision that flexible and innovative payment options can enhance quality of life.
