The Security Media Cell announced today the arrest of the so-called (Kirkuk district security officer) and his detachment in the province.

The cell said in a statement, “In revenge for the blood of the martyrs of the armed forces in Kirkuk Governorate, the detachments of the Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency in the Ministry of Interior, through their intensification of intelligence efforts and accurate information, were able to arrest three wanted terrorists in accordance with the provisions of Article Four of the Anti-Terrorism Law, one of whom works in the so-called (Security Department of Kirkuk) and its detachment in the province.

It added, “Information and documents indicate that these outlaws launched sporadic attacks on members of the security services and re-worked the security detachments in Kirkuk to carry out assassinations of army and police stations in Hawija and Riyadh,” noting that “the accused were referred to the competent investigative authorities to bring them to justice to obtain their just punishment.”
