Thirty-Eighth Unified GCC Traffic Week Begins in Kuwait

Kuwait City: The 38th Unified GCC Traffic Week, themed "Driving without a Phone," along with its accompanying exhibition, commenced in Kuwait under the patronage of the Interior Ministry Undersecretary, Lieutenant General Sheikh Salem Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.

According to Emirates News Agency, Lieutenant General Sheikh Salem Al-Sabah, in his opening remarks, highlighted the significance of the Unified GCC Traffic Week in raising traffic awareness and promoting a culture of adherence to traffic rules. He stressed that such initiatives are crucial for protecting lives and encouraging safe traffic behavior across GCC societies.

He further explained that the GCC Traffic Week provides a vital platform for enhancing cooperation between law enforcement agencies and the community. This collaboration is expected to contribute to a reduction in traffic accidents and help achieve a safer and more organized traffic environment.

Additionally, Sheikh Salem Al-Sabah announced that Kuwait's new traffic law will be implemented starting April 22nd. The law includes several amendments designed to improve road safety and enforce stricter compliance with traffic regulations.
