Tunisian President Kais Saied and French President Emmanuel Macron held a phone call today, during which they discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance them.
A statement issued by the Tunisian Presidency stated that during the phone call President Saied explained his position on the negotiations with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), stressing that the IMF’s recommendations risk destabilizing social peace.
The Presidents also discussed a number of other topics, including irregular migration, and the calling for a high-level conference involving all the countries concerned by this issue: countries south and north of the Mediterranean sea.
