Abu dhabi: The UAE-Chad Trade and Investment Forum commenced in Abu Dhabi with participation from over 2,000 attendees, which includes ministers, officials, investors, and various official delegations. The event marks a significant step in advancing the economic and trade relations between the UAE and Chad.
According to Emirates News Agency, the forum is set to witness the signing of numerous memoranda of understanding in priority sectors such as infrastructure, energy, agriculture, agribusiness, logistics, and financial services. These agreements are aimed at strengthening the collaboration between the two nations and exploring new opportunities for growth.
Key discussions at the forum focus on expanding economic and trade partnerships, particularly in areas like mineral resources, energy, responsible corporate development, and agricultural and food value chains. The forum also addresses water and electricity projects, large-scale development financing, transport corridors, and logistics services, including railways, ports, and airlines.
The agenda further includes topics on digital transformation, the development of fibre networks and digital services, as well as enhancing human capital, education, health, tourism, and cultural exchange. There is also an emphasis on exploring joint investment opportunities that could benefit both countries in the long run.
