UAE Hailed as Role Model for Africa’s Integrated Development by Tunisia Africa Business Council

Tunis: Nadia Yaich, Secretary-General of the Tunisia Africa Business Council, stated that the UAE serves as a model of integrated developmental cooperation in Africa, highlighting its significant investments in strategic sectors such as infrastructure and energy alongside its support for key areas like education, healthcare, capacity building, and entrepreneurship, particularly among youth and women.

According to Emirates News Agency, in her statements at the "Africa Trade and Investment Forum" held in Tunis, Yaich emphasized the UAE's central role in supporting comprehensive development across numerous African countries. She underlined the significance of enhancing partnerships with local stakeholders across the continent and directing support toward community-based projects that foster innovation ecosystems and entrepreneurship.

The forum, attended by ministerial delegations and representatives from several African nations, including the Congo, Nigeria, and Algeria, showcases investment opportunities. It is hosting the FITA 2025 on May 6 and 7, featuring participation from international financial institutions, over 1,000 business meetings, and a comprehensive exhibition. This event is considered the largest investment gathering in Africa for the year.

Yaich also stressed the need for deepening cooperation between Tunisia and the UAE on the African continent. She noted the Tunisia Africa Business Council's potential pivotal role by organizing joint business missions, creating platforms for knowledge and expertise exchange, and encouraging joint investments in developmental projects. These efforts, she explained, would build trust and open new avenues for tripartite cooperation between Tunisia, the UAE, and Africa.
