Abu dhabi: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has sent a message of congratulations to President Sergio Mattarella of Italy on the occasion of his country's Republic Day. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai; and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, also dispatched similar messages to the President of Italy and to Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.

According to Emirates News Agency, the messages from the UAE leaders were sent to express goodwill and strengthen diplomatic relations between the United Arab Emirates and Italy. The leaders took the opportunity to extend their best wishes to the Italian government and its people on this significant national occasion.

The Republic Day of Italy, celebrated on June 2, marks the institutional referendum held in 1946, which led to the founding of the Italian Republic. The congratulatory messages highlight the importance of maintaining strong bilateral ties and the mutual respect shared between the two nations.
