UAE Leaders Welcome Global Delegates to World Governments Summit 2026

Dubai: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, have extended a warm welcome to international delegates participating in the World Governments Summit 2026. The event, set to begin tomorrow in Dubai, spans three days under the theme 'Shaping Future Governments'.

According to Emirates News Agency, the summit will gather more than 60 heads of state and government, over 500 ministers, and representatives from more than 150 governments. It will also host more than 80 international and regional organizations, over 700 CEOs from leading global corporations, and 87 Nobel Prize-winning scientists, with total attendance surpassing 6,250 participants.

H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed emphasized the UAE's commitment to fostering partnerships and facilitating diplomatic dialogues aimed at promoting global peace and prosperity. He highlighted the importance of international cooperation to address global challenges, urging governments to collectively prioritize future stability and prosperity.

H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum expressed honor in hosting global leaders and decision-makers at the summit. He stressed the UAE's dedication to leading change as a strategy for shaping the future, viewing it as an investment in sustainable progress. He underscored the responsibility of governments to design innovative systems that can navigate rapid global transformations.

The summit will feature an expansive agenda with more than 445 sessions, covering five key themes: Global Governance and Effective Leadership; Societal Wellbeing and Building Capacities; Economic Prosperity and Strategic Investments; Urban Future and Evolving Demographics; and Future Realities and Emerging Frontiers.

Participants will engage in 25 global forums and 45 ministerial meetings, addressing critical sectors linked to humanity's future. Notable meetings include the Arab Finance Ministers Meeting, World Councils Meeting for Sustainable Development Goals, and sessions on the future of retail, sport, and tourism.

Additionally, the summit will host specialized forums and strategic meetings by international governments and organizations. Highlights include the high-level Investment Roundtable for Latin America and the Caribbean, the Arab Public Administration Forum, and discussions on leveraging artificial intelligence.

The World Governments Summit 2026 will also release 36 strategic reports in collaboration with international knowledge partners and launch the third edition of the Global Ministers Survey. Awards presented at the summit include the Best Minister Award, Most Reformed Government Global Award, and the Dubai International Best Practices Award for Sustainable Development.
