Abu dhabi: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has issued a Federal Decree appointing several Assistant Governors at the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE).
According to Emirates News Agency, the decree names Ahmed Saeed Al Qamzi as Assistant Governor for Banking and Insurance Supervision, Ibraheem Al Sayed Mohamed Al Hashemi as Assistant Governor - Executive Office and Secretary-General of the Board of Directors, Fatma Al Jabri as Assistant Governor for Financial Crime, Market Conduct and Consumer Protection, and Saif Al Dhaheri as Assistant Governor for Banking Operations and Support Services.
Ahmed Al Qamzi comes with over 27 years of experience at the Central Bank of the UAE, previously serving as Director of the Banking Supervision Department. His responsibilities included overseeing supervision and inspection operations within various divisions.
Ibraheem Al Hashemi, with over 30 years of experience at the Central Bank of the UAE, has held numerous senior positions, including his current role as Assistant Governor - Executive Office and Secretary-General of the Board of Directors.
Fatma Al Jabri's career spans more than 25 years, during which she has played a significant role in developing operations in banks and financial institutions across the UAE, including Citibank, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, and Ajman Bank. She is also a member of the National Committee for Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism and Financing of Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction.
Saif Al Dhaheri has occupied several senior roles, including serving as Senior Advisor to the Executive Vice President of Human Resources and Corporate Services at Mubadala. He has managed supervisory responsibilities for institutional projects involving human resources, digital transformation, and operations.
