UAE to Host 46th World Congress on Military Medicine at ADNEC

Abu Dhabi:The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has been recognized for its global leadership in military medicine as it prepares to host the 46th World Congress on Military Medicine. The event is scheduled to take place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) from November 9 to 13, 2026, and will see participation from over 120 countries.

According to Wam, the congress will serve as a platform for exchanging expertise, enhancing international cooperation, and advancing military medicine and humanitarian healthcare. It also aims to improve medical readiness for emergency responses and other challenges.

Hosting this event underscores the UAE's status as a prime location for specialized conferences, backed by its advanced infrastructure, skilled workforce, and organizational capabilities. The congress will create opportunities to strengthen partnerships among military and medical leaders, as well as healthcare institutions globally.

The World Congress on Military Medicine, held biennially since 1921 under the International Committee of Military Medicine's supervision, provides an international forum for sharing the latest knowledge, research, and professional practices. This year's program will cover topics such as health and medical readiness, infectious diseases, mental health, and preparedness for chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear risks. It will also include discussions on medical care in operational environments, trauma medicine, medical evacuation, and resuscitation.

The event will feature workshops, professional meetings, and an accompanying exhibition. The Frontline Heroes Office emphasized the critical role of military and civilian healthcare personnel in safeguarding lives and delivering care in challenging conditions. It also highlighted the importance of international cooperation, knowledge exchange, and investment in modern medical technologies to enhance healthcare professionals' capabilities and improve crisis response.
