Sharjah: The University of Sharjah, through its College of Dental Medicine, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Proactive Link Medical Equipment, the exclusive distributor of Biohorizons, a leader in dental implant systems. The agreement is designed to bolster educational and research programs, focusing on improving students' skills in dental implant training and advanced clinical techniques.
According to Emirates News Agency, the memorandum was signed by Prof. Sausan Al Kawas, Acting Dean of the College of Dental Medicine, and Mohammad Anas Assi, CEO of Proactive Link Medical Equipment. The partnership aims to foster academic and applied collaboration by providing dental implant systems and essential materials for training programs. It also includes the organization of workshops and scientific training sessions for students, with cooperation from company experts.
Under the agreement, Proactive Link will supply Biohorizons products and accessories that align with the College's practical training needs. They will also offer technical and scientific support through specialized consultants and experts. Prof. Al Kawas highlighted that the partnership underscores the University of Sharjah's commitment to creating impactful collaborations with healthcare institutions, enhancing practical education for dental students and aligning with global innovations in implantology.
Assi expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, noting that the company aims to empower young national talents by providing them with essential knowledge and practical expertise in dental implants. He emphasized that the initiative aligns with the broader goal of strengthening the UAE's healthcare sector.
