6.1-Magnitude Quake Shakes Southern Greek Islands

Athens: A 6.1 magnitude earthquake shook southern Greek islands early Thursday.

According to Emirates News Agency, the epicentre was located in the sea, 58 kilometres north-northeast of Elounda, on the northern coast of Crete. The quake was recorded at a depth of 69 kilometres, as reported by the US Geological Survey.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries following the earthquake.
