7X and UAEV Forge Partnership to Enhance UAE’s Electric Vehicle Charging Network

Dubai: 7X, the trade, transport, and logistics holding group, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Emarat EV Charging Stations Company PJSC (UAEV), the first electric vehicle (EV) charging network fully owned by the government of the United Arab Emirates. This collaboration was announced during 7X's participation in GITEX Global 2025.

According to Emirates News Agency, the MoU establishes a framework for planning, deploying, operating, and promoting EV charging infrastructure across the UAE. It is aimed at accelerating the transition to environmentally friendly vehicle fleets and enhancing sustainable mobility solutions throughout the nation.

The agreement aligns with the UAE's strategic vision to encourage the broader adoption of clean transportation, meet national sustainability goals, and integrate digital innovation. The use of 'Wayn', the UAE's secure digital P.O. Box, is highlighted as a means to improve official customer communication and service delivery efficiently.

Under this partnership, 7X will aid UAEV in expediting EV adoption through its National Network for Logistics (NXN) and logistics arm EMX. By leveraging its extensive network across all emirates, 7X aims to facilitate the establishment of integrated charging stations, streamline last-mile operations, reduce emissions, and bolster the EV charging infrastructure in key locations. The partnership encourages sustainable practices across the logistics operations of 7X and its partners.

Furthermore, the collaboration will explore additional services such as parcel locker integration at charging stations and smart mobility solutions, enhancing customer convenience and reinforcing the value of the national EV charging network.

Tariq Al Wahedi, Group CEO of 7X, highlighted the partnership's role in advancing the UAE's low-emission economy and reinforcing global trade, transport, and logistics leadership. He emphasized the importance of environmentally friendly fleets and electric mobility solutions in 7X's long-term strategy to improve operational efficiency, reduce emissions, and contribute to a globally competitive green economy.

Ali Al Darwish, CEO of UAEV, remarked on the collaboration's significance in accelerating the UAE's shift towards sustainable mobility. He noted that integrating advanced charging infrastructure within 7X's nationwide network expands accessibility for private EV drivers and supports the electrification of commercial vehicle fleets across the Emirates.

The collaboration between 7X and UAEV underscores their shared commitment to advancing the UAE's clean energy agenda and enhancing its status as a leader in sustainable development. It presents new opportunities to boost efficiency, reduce carbon emissions, and add value to the national economy. Moreover, it empowers communities and businesses with access to a modern, state-of-the-art EV charging network, reflecting the UAE's vision for a greener, more connected future.
