Sharjah: The first edition of the Middle East Cosmetics Show concluded successfully at Expo Centre Sharjah, drawing a substantial number of visitors over its five-day run. Organised by Expo Sharjah with support from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), the event featured more than 200 local and international brands within a 2,000-square-metre exhibition space.
According to Emirates News Agency, the show offered attendees a chance to explore over 5,000 products, ranging from makeup and fragrances to skincare and organic cosmetics. Beyond being a product showcase, the event served as a strategic platform for networking and knowledge exchange among manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and e-commerce leaders.
The exhibition highlighted the Gulf region's expanding role in the beauty industry, pointing out that it accounts for 86 percent of the MENA cosmetics market. This makes the region one of the fastest-growing markets globally. Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, praised the event's success, stating that it reaffirms the centre's strategy to advance specialised trade fairs and strengthen Sharjah's status as a global exhibition hub.
He noted the show's significance in connecting global beauty brands and industry experts, facilitating business growth and expanding market opportunities in the region.
