Emirati Real Estate Business Incubator Launched to Empower National Talent

Abu dhabi: The Dubai Land Department has launched the Emirati Real Estate Business Incubator in collaboration with Dubai Silicon Oasis, the New Economy Academy, and Rochester Institute of Technology of Dubai (RIT Dubai). This initiative is part of the national campaign 'The Emirates: The Startup Capital of the World,' aiming to position the UAE as a global entrepreneurship hub.

According to Emirates News Agency, the program's details were unveiled during a press conference in Dubai attended by key figures such as Omar Hamad Bushahab, Director-General of Dubai Land Department; Badr Buhannad, Director-General of Dubai Silicon Oasis; and Dr. Laila Faridoon, CEO of the New Economy Academy. The campaign, overseen by the Ministry of Economy and Tourism in collaboration with the UAE Government Media Office, involves over 50 entities, including government bodies, private organizations, and academic institutions.

The first edition of the six-month program will commence on October 27th at Dubai Silicon Oasis, a specialized economic zone under the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority. The initiative aims to nurture 50 Emirati real estate firms, helping them transition from independent brokers to full-time real estate agencies.

Omar Hamad Bushahab emphasized the commitment to equip Emirati brokers with the necessary knowledge and skills. He highlighted the increase in Emirati brokers, attributing it to the Dubai Real Estate Broker Programme, which has seen 1,800 new brokers join since 2024. Bushahab noted that Emirati brokers completed AED10 billion worth of transactions during this period.

Details of the program were discussed in a panel featuring industry leaders such as Badr Buhannad, Abdullah Al Shehi, CEO of Dubai Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA), and Mohammed Al Badwawi, CEO of Corporate Support at DLD. Badr Buhannad underscored the collaboration's role in developing Emirati talent and promoting Dubai Silicon Oasis as a hub for knowledge and innovation.

Dr. Laila Faridoon emphasized the program's focus on blending academic knowledge with practical skills, aiming to provide participants with tools for building competitive businesses. The incubator covers diverse aspects of the real estate market, including regulatory and financial procedures, market analysis, and the impact of economic growth.

The curriculum includes legal aspects, corporate structure planning, and human resource management, with a focus on modern technology and artificial intelligence in real estate. Participants will learn client relationship management, brand marketing, and develop comprehensive business plans.

Upon completion, participants will receive an accredited certificate and benefit from a year of professional mentorship, aligning with the UAE's vision for a sustainable, knowledge-based economy.
