Abu dhabi: GITEX GLOBAL 2025 concluded today after a five-day surge of deal-making and breakthrough unveilings across AI, data infrastructure, cybersecurity, quantum, digital health, and biotech. The event convened more than 6,800 exhibitors, 2,000 startups from 180 countries, and 1,200 investors at Dubai World Trade Centre and Dubai Harbour, establishing itself as a major platform for digital transformation and innovation in the UAE.
According to Emirates News Agency, the event highlighted the UAE's leadership in digital transformation, with industry leaders like Amr Kamel of Microsoft UAE recognizing GITEX as a key driver in the country's digital journey. The event's sessions included a significant discussion between Sam Altman of OpenAI and Peng Xiao of G42 on building AI-Native Societies, reflecting on global partnerships shaping the AI economy.
The event also featured hundreds of ministers and senior government officials from around the world who addressed AI-related challenges such as trust, regulation, and sovereignty. Their discussions marked a pivotal moment in global innovation, with nations now playing an active role as co-architects.
GITEX GLOBAL 2025 was dominated by future-critical sectors, with new launches and dialogues in areas such as quantum computing, AI, semiconductors, super data centers, and biotech. Innovations showcased included smart contact lenses, brain-computer implants, and AI gene-editing technologies.
Major tech companies like ai71, Alibaba Cloud, AMD, AWS, G42, Google, HPE, Huawei, IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, Salesforce, and Snowflake presented infrastructure breakthroughs aimed at powering AI workloads and national intelligence.

Abu Dhabi's Department of Municipalities and Transport announced 19 strategic partnerships focused on AI-powered public services and smart ecosystems.
At the startup showcase, Expand North Star, over 100 nations' founders connected with investors holding over $1.1 trillion in assets. The Supernova Challenge 2.0 awarded Korea's AIM Intelligence the top prize, highlighting GITEX's role as a global platform for startups.
Looking ahead, GITEX 2026 will introduce the world's first GITEX TechCation at Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo City Dubai. This event, running from December 7-11, 2026, will offer immersive experiences and networking opportunities, redefining the global tech events calendar. The GITEX Scale Summit will open the event, focusing on strategic dialogues about AI economies, followed by innovative presentations across various industries.
