Dubai: H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, met with Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, during the 27th General Conference of the International Council of Museums (ICOM Dubai 2025). This event is under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
According to Emirates News Agency, the conference is significant as it marks the first hosting of this global gathering in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia region. The meeting between the leaders served to reinforce the historical and fraternal ties between the UAE and Bahrain.
Discussions were centered around enhancing cultural cooperation and developing joint initiatives that reflect the shared historical, social, and economic bonds. Both parties stressed the importance of ongoing coordination and collaboration to promote Arab culture, which they view as a means to expand human connections across communities. This collaboration aims to advance the cultural and creative landscape throughout the region.
