Mansoor Bin Mohammed Backs ‘My Blood, for My Country’ Campaign with Blood Donation

Dubai: H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai's Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management and Vice Chairman of Dubai Health's Board of Directors, has reaffirmed that blood donation is a humanitarian duty and a national responsibility that reflects the noble values of the UAE.

According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikh Mansoor highlighted the 'My Blood, for My Country' campaign as an inspiring model for meaningful community partnerships that bolster the healthcare system. He noted the growing awareness of blood donation's importance and encouraged community participation to amplify the campaign's life-saving impact. Sheikh Mansoor demonstrated his support by donating blood at the Dubai Health Blood Donation Center.

H.H. Sheikh Mansoor was welcomed by Dr. Alawi Alsheikh-Ali, Director General of the Dubai Health Authority; His Excellency Lieutenant General Awad Hader Al Muhairi, Vice President of Dubai's State Security Department; His Excellency Major General Tamim Mohammed Al Muhairi, Director General of Dubai's State Security Department; and His Excellency Dr. Amer Sharif, CEO of Dubai Health.

The campaign, organized in partnership with Al Ameen Service, the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Dubai Health, and Emarat Al Youm newspaper, aims to provide blood units for patients, ensure sufficient supplies for the Thalassemia Center, and promote a culture of voluntary blood donation.

Dr. Alawi Alsheikh-Ali stated that H.H. Sheikh Mansoor's involvement reflects his ongoing support for health and community initiatives and his commitment to encouraging blood donation. He emphasized the importance of donating blood as a humanitarian act that saves lives, and noted the campaign's role in increasing national health awareness.

Dr. Amer Sharif expressed gratitude for H.H. Sheikh Mansoor's support, acknowledging his leadership in inspiring a culture of giving. He reiterated Dubai Health's commitment to raising awareness about regular blood donation and enhancing the campaign's humanitarian impact.

Omar Al Falasi, General Supervisor of Al Ameen Service, highlighted the campaign's decade-long impact in strengthening community solidarity through messages of giving and humanitarian action. Al Ameen Service remains dedicated to supporting efforts that protect community well-being.

Ibrahim Shukrallah, Editor-in-Chief of Emarat Al Youm, noted H.H. Sheikh Mansoor's blood donation as an inspiring model of humanitarian action, affirming the newspaper's commitment to promoting blood donation as a life-saving act.

The campaign seeks to attract new blood donors, especially first-timers and those with rare blood types. It focuses on encouraging young people aged 18 to 30 to donate, promoting blood donation as part of a healthy lifestyle. It also encourages participation from both government and private entities to foster a culture of giving and build a supportive community network.
